- This project aims to perform testing on reinforced concrete (RC) utility poles with a new reinforcing bar alternative. This new reinforcing bar offers significant improvements in durability over traditional steel reinforcement as it is made from corrosion-resistant glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP). Experimental testing will be supplemented by computational modeling to provide a detailed understanding of prototype performance
