Marine

Marine infrastructure assets are continually subjected to extreme environments that demand durability.

Providing the only solution for corrosion of concrete infrastructure caused by ferrous materials.

When reinforced concrete is in or close to marine environments the risk of corrosion is extreme, corrosion has a huge environmental and economic impact on concrete structures.

It can’t be disputed, steel-reinforced concrete is one of the most widely used construction materials around the world, however, in certain environments it can suffer degradation over time due to the embedded steel corroding causing the concrete to crack and spall.

Reinforcing concrete infrastructure with Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) rebar is the ultimate solution to construct projects with a strong mechanism against corrosive agents. Less concrete cover, no need for anti-corrosive agents or impressed current systems with the environmental best outcome.

GFRP will never rust or corrode, solving concrete cancer at the root cause, eliminating concrete cancer caused by the corrosion of ferrous material for good.

Predicted life spans of more than 200 years to infinite, GFRP reinforced concrete marine assets are the only choice. The only limiting life factor moving forward will be the concrete itself, in the past the corrosion of rebar cut short the life of the asset.

GFRP is also used in (NSM) Near Surface Mounted restoration of existing concrete pile and beam as no covers are required.

We have developed a range of pre-cast products all reinforced with GFRP. These products come together as the systemised approach for the construction of jetties, bridges, and boat ramps.

The only limiting life factor moving forward will be the concrete itself, in the past the corrosion of rebar cut short the life of the asset.
